This is a full-time position in Red Deer. The wage range for this position is $18.60 – $19.95 per hour.

About the role
We are seeking candidates who want to make a significant difference in the daily lives of some of society’s most vulnerable people. Currently we have full-time, part-time and casual positions supporting individuals with developmental disabilities living in a residential home.
There is a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights and every other weekend rotation. Our employees assist individuals to live as independently as possible within their home.

Responsibilities
• Duties include developing relationships, participating in recreational activities and community outings, as well as, assisting with personal care, administering medications, preparing meals, household chores, completion of observation notes and reports. Support workers may also use positive approaches to address behaviours of concern, provide medical support, and perform lifts or transfers, use g-tubes, and monitor blood sugar, as required.

Qualifications
• Completion of Grade 12 or General Equivalency Diploma
• 1-year experience in a related field of Human Service (personal experience will be considered)
• Acceptable Police Information Check & Child Intervention Check
• A vehicle and a valid driver’s license (with valid insurance, registration & acceptable driver’s abstract
